Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who has a good grasp of accounting and finance, diligent in everything that you do and a thirst for knowledge. Explore and Build Solid Foundations

  • Learn about new jurisdictions and how it impacts operations with existing entities.
  • Work independently, within a team, to perform audits to assess risks to the organization. Responsibilities include performing auditing procedures, testing evidence with a focus on attention to detail and appropriate professional skepticism and clearly reporting findings. Driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Identify and evaluate risks (e.g., technical, financial, operational, compliance) to the organization, make recommendations for corrective actions/mitigation of risks, and partner with internal teams to provide expertise and guidance including new acquisitions and highly-complex financial and/or operational processes controls within assigned business areas.
  • Maintain regular contact with business line management to keep abreast of new issues and initiatives and advise senior management on best practices.
  • Issue clear concise reporting of audit findings and track regularly the status of remediation activities for purposes of senior management reporting.
  • Assess and report on key risks impacting the business.
  • Identifying risks and issues, and suggesting alternatives.
  • Advice on how tax intersects with legal in different jurisdictions.
  • Ensuring due diligence of appropriate strategies to support the business expansion plan.
  • Ensuring all compliance processes (Labor, Regulatory) as applicable.
  • Day-to-Day responsibilities will include auditing, overseeing and assisting in:
    • Processing accounts payable & receivables
    • Monthly statement, Invoice / PO reconciliation
    • Monthly cash flow preparation
    • Expense Report preparation and reconciliation with credit card statements
    • Process month end journal entries for revenue and expense cycles
    • Prepare reconciliation of the GL accounts to supporting documents, including monthly variance analysis
    • Assisting with collections
    • Maintenance of general ledger
    • Support for year-end audit
    • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting
    • Ensure accuracy of financial records
    • Ad hoc reporting and special projects
    • Payroll administration
    • Ensure compliance with government remittances
    • Customer billing and payment processing
    • Preparing invoices, purchase orders, letters, and other documents.

Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • MBA or M.Com is desired but not required
  • 5+ years experience in a progressively responsible Senior Accounting position
  • Minimum of at least three years of relevant Audit work experience
  • In depth knowledge of technical accounting (GAAP, SEC, COSO), audit and internal controls
  • Understanding of operational and strategic aspects of the Tax, Compliance,
  • Governance Framework preferably in a multi jurisdictional, multi entity scenario
  • US GAAP and IFRS working experience and knowledge.
  • Must be familiar with, and adept to using technology.
  • Familiar with operating in an Apple environment on both Desktop and Mobile, utilizing native Apple software – Pages(Word Processor), Numbers(Spreadsheet), Keynote(Presentation), a plus
